    Of the three sprinkler repair companies I contacted, Hessenauer was the only one to respond. They provided a date and time, and they arrived on schedule. They did a thorough inspection and fixed multiple problems for a reasonable cost. They are now my "go to" sprinkler repair company.

    Eric has been out here twice to correct everyone else's mistakes and I am so grateful.  I finally have my irrigation system working as it should.  This is a quality company with excellent workers who know their stuff. I'm glad I found them.

    Eric was out today to repair 3 valves damaged by a lightning hit.  Was on-time, communicated his arrival, and clearly explained the problem.   Very professional.  Emma also was a pleasure to deal with when making the appointment.  Will definitely use them again.

    Could not have worked with a better team. They came out, heard what I wanted, then validated that it was needed, and gave me a quote. They did a lot of repairs on my old system and it is up and running again. I could not have been more impressed with their timeliness, professionalism, and attention to my specific needs as an old home. I will use them again when needed.

    I was impressed with Hessenauer Irrigation.  Jay did a great job replacing an old irrigation clock.  He didn't stop there, he checked each of my 4 zones and replaced a few heads that needed to be replaced.  I'm saving their contact info and will definitely use them next time I need any work done!

As we head closer to the hot, active, rainy summer months, the focus on a properly functioning irrigation becomes more important. To assure an efficiently running irrigation system, become familiar with sprinkler irrigation parts and functions.

Right now, the weather is getting hotter each week, and the focus of a properly functioning irrigation becomes more important. We need to pay attention how much water our lawns and gardens are receiving.

To cool your lawn and plants when temperatures reach over 90 degrees farenheit, run your sprinklers 5 to 10 minutes per zone in the afternoon. This is called “spritzing,” and it reduces the symptoms of summer patch disease.

Adjust sprinkler heads as landscape plants grow larger and begin to block the spray pattern. New installations like benches, decks, etc. can also decrease irrigation efficiency.

Reprogram the controller for automatic watering. Replace the controller back-up battery if necessary, and uncover and clean the system weather sensor, if applicable.

Create water zones by putting plants together that have similar water needs. Each zone of plants should be irrigated according to its needs. Observe your sprinkler system once per month. Look for sprinkler heads that do not turn, heads that spray into the street or onto a sidewalk, bent or damaged heads, clogged or worn nozzles, turf growth around heads that impede water delivery, puddling and runoff.
