    Of the three sprinkler repair companies I contacted, Hessenauer was the only one to respond. They provided a date and time, and they arrived on schedule. They did a thorough inspection and fixed multiple problems for a reasonable cost. They are now my "go to" sprinkler repair company.

    Eric was out today to repair 3 valves damaged by a lightning hit.  Was on-time, communicated his arrival, and clearly explained the problem.   Very professional.  Emma also was a pleasure to deal with when making the appointment.  Will definitely use them again.

    Could not have worked with a better team. They came out, heard what I wanted, then validated that it was needed, and gave me a quote. They did a lot of repairs on my old system and it is up and running again.     I was impressed with Hessenauer Irrigation.  Jay did a great job replacing an old irrigation clock.  He didn't stop there, he checked each of my 4 zones and replaced a few heads that needed to be replaced.  I'm saving their contact info and will definitely use them next time I need any work done!

Water is brought to your property under pressure from a city main line. The water then encounters a cross-connection, with one water line to the home and the other for irrigation.

Just after this connection, on the irrigation pipe, you’ll find the anti-siphon valve. An anti-siphon valve is a combination valve and atmospheric backflow preventer, which means it serves two functions.

The anti-siphon valve protects the home’s water supply by preventing water in the irrigation system line from back-siphoning into your home, and it also holds pressure for your home’s irrigation system.

Water is held under pressure behind each anti-siphon valve. When it receives an electronic signal from the irrigation controller, the valve opens, allowing water to pass through to the sprinklers.
