    Of the three sprinkler repair companies I contacted, Hessenauer was the only one to respond. They provided a date and time, and they arrived on schedule. They did a thorough inspection and fixed multiple problems for a reasonable cost. They are now my "go to" sprinkler repair company.

    Eric has been out here twice to correct everyone else's mistakes and I am so grateful.  I finally have my irrigation system working as it should.  This is a quality company with excellent workers who know their stuff. I'm glad I found them.

    Eric was out today to repair 3 valves damaged by a lightning hit.  Was on-time, communicated his arrival, and clearly explained the problem.   Very professional.  Emma also was a pleasure to deal with when making the appointment.  Will definitely use them again.

    Could not have worked with a better team. They came out, heard what I wanted, then validated that it was needed, and gave me a quote. They did a lot of repairs on my old system and it is up and running again. I could not have been more impressed with their timeliness, professionalism, and attention to my specific needs as an old home. I will use them again when needed.

    I was impressed with Hessenauer Irrigation.  Jay did a great job replacing an old irrigation clock.  He didn't stop there, he checked each of my 4 zones and replaced a few heads that needed to be replaced.  I'm saving their contact info and will definitely use them next time I need any work done!

Welcome to the Hessenauer Sprinkler Repair and Irrigation blog and website. We like to offer our readers news, tips and advice concerning sprinkler irrigation system and drainage problems that can occur here in the Orlando and Central Florida areas. Today we would like to introduce a series of common potential sprinkler irrigation issues that need immediate attention.

Your sprinkler irrigation system can be the victim to leaking valves and pipes. These hazards can occur as a result of aging or damage from weather, physical damage, tree roots, vandalism or from shovels or other sharp tools. Leaks may be large and obvious or smaller and require detective work to locate. Replacement or repair of damaged valves and pipes should solve the leakage issues.

Broken or missing sprinkler heads could be the problem. Damage is likely to occur by lawn mowers, normal wear and tear or by being improperly installed. Replace the missing sprinkler head as soon as possible to avoid damage to the lawn.

Clogged nozzles are an issue to consider. When debris enters the irrigation system through a dirty water source, there is the potential for the sprinkler nozzles to clog. Flushing the entire irrigation system, installing screens on the sprinkler heads and replacing clogged nozzles could eliminate this problem.

Seal leaks could be another problematic situation for a sprinkler irrigation system. Dirt and debris can wear out rubber seal leaks and require entire sprinkler heads to be replaced, although in some instances the problem could be alleviated by screwing off and replacing the top of the sprinkler head.

Sunken heads are the result of sprinkler heads settling over time. The weight of lawn mowers and heavy equipment could cause them to settle and collect debris in the remaining sunken area. Head risers or taller sprinkler bodies could be the solution to evening out the sprinkler heads when the ground that supports them begins to settle.

Tilted heads are another potential problem for homeowners with an irrigation system. Wet soil and lawn mowers could cause sprinkler heads to tilt and result in uneven coverage. One solution is with a swing pipe to move the sprinkler head out of the line of lawn mowers. Another possibility would be to reposition the sprinkler head then pack the soil around it tightly.
