    Of the three sprinkler repair companies I contacted, Hessenauer was the only one to respond. They provided a date and time, and they arrived on schedule. They did a thorough inspection and fixed multiple problems for a reasonable cost. They are now my "go to" sprinkler repair company.

    Eric was out today to repair 3 valves damaged by a lightning hit.  Was on-time, communicated his arrival, and clearly explained the problem.   Very professional.  Emma also was a pleasure to deal with when making the appointment.  Will definitely use them again.

    Could not have worked with a better team. They came out, heard what I wanted, then validated that it was needed, and gave me a quote.     I was impressed with Hessenauer Irrigation.  Jay did a great job replacing an old irrigation clock.  He didn't stop there, he checked each of my 4 zones and replaced a few heads that needed to be replaced.  I'm saving their contact info and will definitely use them next time I need any work done!

Today we would like to offer some common sprinkler repair solutions for problems that could arise.

One problem could be that water does not come out of the sprinklers when the irrigation system is turned on. This could be a sign of several problems. One of the more common issues is clogged heads or pipes by dirt or debris. Locating that debris and clearing it out is the real challenge.

Leaks in the piping could be an issue. Sprinkler heads can get damaged and cracked by extreme weather, by getting run over by the lawn mower or by someone stepping on them wrong. A broken head may not work at all or may spray water around wildly.

Locate the broken pipe usually by flooding or patches of water in the lawn. Roots can grow and break pipes as well. Repairing this situation could involve the need to dig out around the broken pipe to replace pipe sections or repair the problem. The best way is to leave this to a certified professional rather than taking matters into your own hands.

Sometimes too many sprinkler heads leaking could be the cause of the problem. Leaks can cause puddles to form in your yard, while leaving the areas that you want to water stay dry. Leaks can be caused by faulty installation, a line freezing during a particularly cold winter or damage due to landscaping and other digging. Leaks can also be the result of a faulty valve box.

Fixing a leaking line can be a rather involved lawn sprinkler repair job. If the leak is visible near the sprinkler head, you can try replacing the head and see if that helps. For larger leaks, where water is pooling in the yard or one area is visibly greener than the other parts of the yard, you’ll need to call a professional lawn sprinkler repair company.

If your sprinkler system turns on, but there is just a drizzle coming out of all of the sprinkler heads, there is a possibility too many sprinkler heads running at the same time and demand for water inside of the house can conflict with the demand for water to the sprinkler system.

Without proper knowledge and experience, it can be very difficult to know what exactly is causing the blockage. Your best bet is to always talk to a lawn irrigation contractor to find out what the cause of the problem is.
