    Of the three sprinkler repair companies I contacted, Hessenauer was the only one to respond. They provided a date and time, and they arrived on schedule. They did a thorough inspection and fixed multiple problems for a reasonable cost. They are now my "go to" sprinkler repair company.

    Eric has been out here twice to correct everyone else's mistakes and I am so grateful.  I finally have my irrigation system working as it should.  This is a quality company with excellent workers who know their stuff. I'm glad I found them.

    Eric was out today to repair 3 valves damaged by a lightning hit.  Was on-time, communicated his arrival, and clearly explained the problem.   Very professional.  Emma also was a pleasure to deal with when making the appointment.  Will definitely use them again.

    Could not have worked with a better team. They came out, heard what I wanted, then validated that it was needed, and gave me a quote. They did a lot of repairs on my old system and it is up and running again.     I was impressed with Hessenauer Irrigation.  Jay did a great job replacing an old irrigation clock.  He didn't stop there, he checked each of my 4 zones and replaced a few heads that needed to be replaced.  I'm saving their contact info and will definitely use them next time I need any work done!

Only water your lawn when it needs it. One good way to check if your lawn needs watering is to step on the grass, and if it springs back up when you move, it does not need water. During dry spells, if you stop watering altogether the lawn will go brown and dormant. When cooler weather arrives, morning dew and rain can bring the lawn back, therefore saving water.

Water the lawn long enough so water gets down to the roots. Light sprinkling could evaporate quickly, encouraging shallow roots, and avoid watering when it is windy. Water the grass during the early parts of the day or early evening, and position the sprinklers so water lands on the grass or plants not on paved areas because that is wasted water.

Layers of mulch around trees and plants will slow evaporation of moisture and discourage weed growth. If you press the mulch down around the dripline, minimal water runoff will be the result. Adding organic material to your soil will help increase its absorption and water retention. Group plants according to their watering needs.

Check for leaks in valves, pipes, hoses and faucets. These leaks can cause a great amount of wasted water, so check frequently so they remain drip-free.

It really is important to practice positive habits for water conservation. Parents, take time to teach your children these simple water-saving methods around the home.
